| Since 1957, the Boys and Girls Club of Moncton has been providing
valuable programs and services to children and youth of our community.
For more than 1,000 young people each year, the BGCM is a gathering
place, a recreation centre, a source of help, an advocate for their
needs, and most importantly, a place where a kid can be a kid.
Our story is very positive. It’s built on the strengths of our
community. It’s about young people having fun in a safe environment;
it’s about learning life skills with communication and decision
making. The Boys and Girls Club of Moncton helps young people understand
their boundaries, responsibilities and the value of giving back.
Located on Everett Street, in the heart of one of Moncton’s oldest
neighbourhoods, the Club is very important to the surrounding community
and is truly an asset for the City. We are able to reach out and
include over eight communities in our area by providing a daily
full scale bus pick up and drop off program.
We work with the community to develop new programs to serve an
ever-changing population, and we do this with the support of over
200 volunteers. We serve as a catalyst for change, for renewal,
and for new ideas.
Who we are depends on your perspective. As you can see, we are
many things to many people.
The Boys and Girls Club of Moncton...
A good place to be
